Buddy-The Buddy Holly Story is an exhilarating and engaging musical with outstanding performances and classic songs that had the audience on their feet. The energy and passion of the cast members were palpable, and the audience was utterly captivated from start to finish.

Tommy Walker's role is brilliantly portrayed by Ali Louis Bourzgui, whose roll and rock appearance was faultless, and his singing was spectacular. Adam Jacobs(Captain Walker) and Alison Luff (Mrs. Walker), Tommy's parents, were excellent. Joining them are John Ambrosino as Uncle Ernie; Bobby Conte as Cousin Kevin; and Christina Sajous as the Acid Queen, who looked more like Tina Turner and sang better than any recent performers from the Tina Turner musical.

The solid chemistry between Julia Morales, Jordan Stafford, Evan Mills, Claire McFadden, Andy Bolduc, and Kiley Fitzgerald will have you hysterically laughing in stitches with their out-the-wall character scenes and songs created on the spot.

Yee is a master narrative playwright, and Lucy and Charlie's Honeymoon will reel you in with its high-spirited Bonnie and Clyde mixed with Monty Python's wit that's a hilarious and enthralling play with intriguing grit.

Director Sheldon Epps brings together a masterful performance of music, dancing, and narration that is captivating and enthralling. From the outstanding performance of Darian Peer as the young Lloyd Price to exceptional performances from Stanley Wayne Mathis (Harold Logan), Donterrio (Dave, Louis Armstrong), to Alexandria Reese (Emma), the cast of Personality was stupendous.

Redd's magnetic personality and comedic charm adding timely jokes that relate to his audience, like calling Brenda auntie after seeing the mother-like look on her face or asking couples humorous and intriguing questions, displays his ability to connect with others, providing non-stop laughter.

I was blown away by the powerful and soulful voices of the women singers. Their performance of "Be Grateful" by Walter Hawkins was undoubtedly the highlight of the play.

The Gospel at Colonus, an African-American musical adaptation of Sophocles's tragedy, Oedipus at Colonus, with its soulful singing featuring an all-black cast, has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide.

Porchlight Theatre brings a masterpiece of comedy, music, and splendid narrative adventure to its stage in Ernest Shackleton Love Me. Elisa Carlson (Kat) and Andrew Mueller played their roles to perfection. Carlson, a musical savant, has an amazing combination of vocals that match her incredible talents in playing musical instruments. Mueller is a natural with a fantastic comedic style and great singing and musical skills. Together they make this 90-minute production of love and adventure a spectacular evening you wish could continue forever. 

Antonio's Song is grippingly poignant and an enthralling narrative; however, some portions of this performance have vitriol slurs, brutality, and sexual and child abuse, verbiage that can make sure feel discomfiting. Yet, in the end, Antonio found the balance he sought. He realized that his art and his family were not mutually exclusive but rather two sides of the same coin. 

But as reality and fiction collide, Keisha notices that certain people are out of place, and blurred lines intermingle the stereotypical views of whites regarding the lifestyles of black families. It examines the conflict of families and how racism within our society fuels racial bias, division, and corruption.
